Philosophy
Every young person possesses a unique voice capable of telling profound stories about his/her world. Far too often, however, these truths go untold. Ignored or misrepresented by popular media, many disadvantaged young people feel voiceless--incapable of rising to the challenge of analyzing their past, changing their present and shaping their future.
At Remedee, we strive to help these students discover their own distinct and powerful voices through filmmaking. We encourage work that reflects our students' unique individuality while also touching upon the "bigger picture" issues affecting youth around the world.
Remedee teaches and encourages youth to use media to tell their own stories, and to open and engage in dialogue that promotes activism and change.
